When can I use MK Pharmacy First?

MK Pharmacy First provides advice and treatment for you and your children for the following conditions:

Emergency contraception - ‘morning after pill’. Available to everyone but free to under 25s.

If you don’t pay for your prescription, the pharmacy can supply your medicines free of charge.

How do I use MK Pharmacy First?

  • Ask for MK Pharmacy First at any Milton Keynes pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist in confidence about your symptoms.
  • If you need advice about a child, please bring the child with you.
  • The pharmacist will recommend appropriate treatment and medication. They may also direct you to other services.
  • Tell the pharmacist if you are entitled to free prescriptions so that they can provide any recommended medication free of charge.

There are 45 pharmacies in Milton Keynes. A number of these are now open late in the evening, over weekends and bank holidays. If your child is ill, take them along to a pharmacy, they can provide free clinical advice and may also be able to provide free medication.
